Chemical pump equipment to be sealed are inseparable from the seal, usually in the form of mechanical seal seal, mechanical seal material, there are many types of materials, as an auxiliary seal material has nitrile rubber, fluorine rubber, silicone rubber, neoprene rubber, styrene-butadiene rubber, perfluoroethylene ether material, and so on.
1、NBR nitrile rubber sealing ring
Suitable for use in petroleum-based hydraulic oil, glycol-based hydraulic oil, di-ester lubricant, gasoline, water, silicone grease, silicone oil and other media, it is a wide range of uses, low-cost rubber seals, not for polar solvents, such as ketones, ozone, nitro-hydrocarbons, MEK and chloroform. General use of temperature range of -40 ~ 120 ℃.
2、HNBR Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber Seals
It has excellent corrosion resistance, tear resistance and compression deformation resistance, ozone resistance, sunlight resistance, weather resistance, and better abrasion resistance than nitrile rubber, it is suitable for washing machinery, automobile engine system, and it is not recommended to be used in alcohols, esters, or aromatic solutions, and the general use temperature range is -40~150 ℃.
3、SIL Silicone Rubber Seals
It has excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, ozone resistance, atmospheric aging resistance, good insulating properties, but the tensile strength is poorer than the general rubber and does not have oil resistance, applicable to household appliances such as electric water heaters, electric irons, microwave ovens, etc., but also for a variety of supplies in contact with the human body, such as kettles, water fountains, etc., it is not recommended to be used in the majority of concentrated solvents, oils, concentrated acids and sodium hydroxide, the general temperature range of -55 ~ 250 ℃. It is not recommended to be used in most concentrated solvents, oils, concentrated acids and sodium hydroxide.
4、VITON Fluorine Rubber Seals
High temperature resistance is better than silicone rubber, excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance and chemical resistance, cold resistance is poor, for most of the oils and solvents have the ability to resist, especially acids, aliphatic hydrocarbons, aromatic hydrocarbons and animal and vegetable oils, suitable for diesel engines, fuel systems and chemical plant sealing needs, is not recommended to be used in the ketone, low molecular weight esters and nitrogen-containing mixtures, the general use of the temperature range of -20~250 ℃. 20~250 ℃.
5、FLS Fluorosilicone Rubber Seal
Its performance has both the advantages of fluorine rubber and silicone rubber, oil resistance, solvent resistance, fuel oil resistance and resistance to high and low temperatures are good, can resist oxygen-containing compounds, solvents containing aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorine-containing solvents, the general use of the temperature range of -50~200 ℃.
6、EPDM EPDM rubber sealing ring
With good weather resistance, ozone resistance, water resistance and chemical resistance, can be used for alcohols and ketones, can also be used for high-temperature water vapor environment of the seal, the general use of temperature range -55 ~ 150 ℃.
7、CR Neoprene Seal
Sunlight resistance, weather resistance is particularly good, not afraid of dichlorodifluoromethane and ammonia and other refrigerants, resistance to dilute acids, resistance to silicone grease lubricants, but in the aniline point of low mineral oil in the expansion of the amount of low temperature is easy to crystallize, hardening. Applicable to a variety of contact with the atmosphere, sunlight, ozone environment and a variety of flame-resistant, chemical corrosion-resistant sealing link, is not recommended for use in strong acids, nitro hydrocarbons, esters, chloroform and ketones in the chemicals, the general use of the temperature range of -55 ~ 120 ℃.
8, IIR butyl rubber seals
Particularly good airtightness, heat resistance, sunlight resistance, ozone resistance, good insulation properties; good resistance to polar solvents such as alcohols, ketones, esters, etc., can be exposed to animal and vegetable oils or oxidizable substances, suitable for chemical resistance or vacuum equipment. Not recommended for simultaneous use with petroleum solvents, kerosene or aromatic hydrocarbons, the general use of temperature range of -50 ~ 110 ℃.
9、ACM Acrylic Rubber Seals
Excellent resistance to oil, high temperature resistance, weather resistance are good, but the mechanical strength, compression deflection rate and water resistance is slightly worse, generally used in automotive transmission systems and power steering systems, not for hot water, brake fluid, phosphate ester, the general use of temperature range of -25 ~ 170 ℃.
10、NR natural rubber seals
Rubber products have good abrasion resistance, elasticity, tear strength and elongation. However, it is easy to aging in the air, become sticky in heat, easy to swell and dissolve in mineral oil or gasoline, alkali resistant but not resistant to strong acids. Suitable for use in automobile brake fluid, ethanol and other liquids with hydroxide ions, the general use of temperature range of -20 ~ 100 ℃.
11、PU polyurethane rubber seals
Polyurethane rubber mechanical properties are very good, wear-resistant, high-pressure performance are far better than other rubber, aging resistance, ozone resistance, oil resistance is also quite good, but high temperature hydrolysis, generally used for high-pressure, wear-resistant sealing link, the general use of the temperature range of -45 ~ 90 ℃.
Chemical pump seals with what material according to the use of the environment, such as temperature, chemical product categories, pressure, etc..
Polytetrafluoroethylene has excellent chemical stability and resistance to oil, solvents, aging, temperature resistance, and has a fairly low friction factor and a certain strength, elasticity, flexibility and non-adhesion, so it is widely used as a sealing ring for chemical pumps in various temperatures, pressures, corrosive media conditions.
NBR is commonly used as a kind of oil-resistant rubber, it is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile, according to the acrylonitrile content is divided into a number of kinds: low acrylonitrile (Nitrile-18), medium acrylonitrile (Nitrile-26) and high acrylonitrile (Nitrile-40), the higher the content of acrylonitrile, the better the resistance to oil, tensile strength, hardness and abrasion resistance, increase in water resistance, decrease in permeability, and then it is solubility increases in polar solvents, but it is also solubility increase in polar solvent. Consequently, its solubility in polar solvents increases, corrosion resistance is also affected, elasticity and cold resistance also deteriorates, nitrile rubber is not resistant to flexing, tear resistance is also poor.
Fluorine rubber has the advantages of high temperature resistance, oil resistance, chemical resistance, fluorine rubber is widely used in fluorinated olefin copolymers, mainly 26-type and 23-type. 26-type fluorine rubber-26 system of vinylidene fluoride and hexafluoropropylene emulsion copolymers and fluorine rubber-246 system of vinylidene fluoride, hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoropropylene terpolymer. 23-type fluorine rubber consists of vinylidene fluoride and chlorotrifluoroethylene at room temperature and Type 23 Viton is an amorphous rubbery copolymer made by suspension polymerization of vinylidene fluoride and vinyl trifluoride at room temperature and under 3.24MPa pressure. It can not be used in liquid ammonia, ammonia.
