When the magnetic pump does not pump water, you can follow the following steps to troubleshoot and solve the problem:
1. Check the power supply and motor
Make sure the magnetic pump has been connected to the power supply and the supply voltage is stable.
Check if the motor is running normally and there is no abnormal sound or overheating. If the motor is faulty, it needs to be repaired or replaced.
2. Check the suction line
Check whether there is air leakage in the suction line, especially whether the connections are tight.
Clear any impurities and blockages in the suction line to ensure that the line is unobstructed.
Check that the bottom valve is open and not blocked.
3. Check the pump body and impeller
Disassemble the magnetic pump and check the impeller for wear or damage. If the impeller is damaged, it needs to be replaced with a new one.
Check the pump body for foreign matter or impurities and clean it out.
4. Check installation and configuration
Check whether the installation height of the magnetic pump meets the requirements to avoid excessive height leading to cavitation.
Make sure that the pump axis is in the same straight line with the motor axis, and the error should not be too large.
Check whether the inlet and outlet valves of the magnetic pump are fully open and not blocked.
5. Check the medium and temperature
Check whether the conveyed medium meets the use requirements of the magnetic pump, such as whether the medium contains solid particles, fibers and other impurities.
Check whether the temperature of the medium is within the permissible range of the magnetic pump to avoid damage to the pump body caused by overheating.
6. Emptying and refilling with fluid
If the magnetic pump has not been used for an extended period of time or is restarted after a shutdown, the pump needs to be emptied of air and refilled with liquid.
Make sure the pump is filled with liquid to avoid damage to the pump body from idling.
7. Check the magnetic coupling
The magnetic pump transmits power through the magnetic coupler. If the magnetic coupler is damaged or fails, the pump will not operate properly. Check if the magnetic coupler is intact and replace it if it is damaged.
8. Consult a professional
If none of the above steps can solve the problem, it is recommended to consult the professional maintenance personnel or manufacturer of the magnetic pump to get more professional guidance and solutions.
By following the above steps one by one, you can usually find the reason why the magnetic pump is not pumping water and take corresponding measures to solve the problem. During the troubleshooting process, pay attention to safe operation to avoid accidents.
